Consumer planning: our role as consumer planners in diageo is to lead the total business with ideas and insights that sell more. Our stakeholders expect us to leverage our unique skill to lead the business to make the right strategic choices, making commercially savvy and evidence-Based decisions within the ever-Changing context of our consumers, shoppers and customers lives. Our role is well beyond functional research delivery. Specific responsibilities & deliverables: The role will need to develop a deep understanding of lac luxury consumers, how they behave across all channels of the 3 markets in lac and the broad range of outlets where luxury must compete. Identify commercially viable opportunities grounded in rich consumer understanding and insights to drive luxury portfolio growth in market. Apply the luxury playbook to build strong luxury brands, and effectively influence the business to make the right strategic choices and commercially savvy decisions. Fuel decisions with consumer / shopper led understanding that instigates change and apply learning to strengthen brand growth drivers and increase the effectiveness of our A&P investment. Prioritize the finite time available to focus on tasks that add maximum value to diageo luxury for lac. Identifying and taking ownership for initiatives, while also managing ambiguity effectively. Take a stand behind what is right and navigating the complexities of deep routed beliefs and new evidence and insights that require a different perspective and change. Deliver action and results by working through & with other people, challenging and influencing th thinking across a broad range of stakeholders. Key interfaces: head of lac luxury brands and specialist leads (e.G. Media, advocacy etc.), luxury commercial team, innovation, global consumer planning, key in-Market brand & consumer planning teams Qualifications and experience required: Proven track record in planning roles and a demonstrable expertise in strategic planning, brand positioning and communications development. 10+ years experience working in insights, marketing or brand strategy (client or agency) Thrives in a fast-Paced, constantly changing environment and can work with high ambiguity Good analytical skills, able to integrate learning from multiple sources and fluently express consumer insights and inspire others with their relevance. Creative and insightful thinking, able to provide simple solutions for complex situations. Ability to navigate priorities across multiple brands/potentially conflicting priorities this role will be managing planning for a portfolio of brands where not all will get equal attention. Appreciative of very different cultures and tolerant of different ways of working. Has a global perspective on the world and is in tune with consumers and culture, with a finger in the pulse of what is happening and a deep consumer curiosity Strong confident communicator confident to challenge existing thinking / beliefs on our shopper, consumer, brands and activities. Good influencing skills and ability to bring together thinking from diverse stakeholders, in markets, global businesses and across different functions. Excellent facilitation skills, capable of leading and inspiring creative development.
