We are looking for our new global head, strategic vendor solutions (svs), the person who will be responsible for establishing and executing the overall strategy for third-Party providers that directly support clinical trials, as well as providing subject matter leadership for all business units within fortrea. As the global head, you will support key vendor and client relationships to provide global leadership in the areas of: strategic third-Party partnerships, global vendor management, and/or clinical and ancillary supplies, supporting ongoing study involvement in clinical trials. We will trust you to define the goals and objectives of the svs organization, and oversee and assess fortreas capabilities. You will identify capability gaps and develop initiatives to improve fortreas capabilities. You will also implement and communicate policies and practices to ensure that fortreas approach is compliant with regulatory guidance and that they are executed in a globally consistent manner. In addition, you will provide strategic direction and supervision to a global team concerned with all aspects of third-Party clinical vendor management and logistics related to clinical and ancillary services. As our global head, you should understand fortreas organizational structure and how we get things done, making connections, when necessary, across and beyond organization as appropriate. As a leader the expectation is to nurture and grow new business and ensure overall satisfaction with fortrea by working closely with assigned leadership to ensure delivery to client quality, timeline and budget expectations are met. The position works with senior staff in senior management, project management, strategy, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, business development and operations. The global head promotes these services to both internal and external clients. Locations this is a home based, remote position. You can be based in any of the following locations: brazil, argentina or mexico responsibilities provides global leadership for third-Party vendor management strategies and execution across fortrea leads a regional or global team, managing negotiation and operational performance oversight of third-Party vendor relationships identifies, qualifies and selects best in class suppliers regionally and/or globally and then negotiates agreements to establish productive, long-Term working relationships securing highest quality at most competitive price on behalf of our clients and our contractual commitments to them manages operational kpi oversight and management within global and regional study teams to meet the needs of trial delivery while delivering value to the fortrea business delivers significant year-Over-Year cost savings/value to fortrea while sustaining supplier quality and performance implements and communicates applicable operational standards, policies and procedures to be applied across all studies, for each vendor category, and within each study establishes and maintains policies and procedures for effective and gcp-Compliant supplier management on behalf of fortrea clients maintains overall responsibility for content and execution of non-Disclosure agreements, letters of intent and specialized master service agreements manages fortrea operational personnel in vendor oversight and operational performance to address and remediate supplier performance issues relating to contractual obligations and study by study performance supports business development by providing applicable third-Party vendor scope and pricing content in fortrea responses to rfps participates in bid defenses as required with the fortrea alliance leader, actively participates on key partner- Client operating committees in order to maintain highest levels of client satisfaction related to existing third-Party vendor performance as well as proactively promoting third-Party vendor services that could serve future client needs initiates and manages strategic sourcing and/or special projects, including overseeing the competitive bidding process for third-Party vendor management services interfaces with contract management to ensure sponsor and supplier side agreements are complementary promotes the ongoing training and expectations of study-Specific operations personnel (especially project management) in all issues connected to third-Party vendor management establishes and matures credible business relationships with sponsor outsourcing and procurement organizations in support of partnership objectives as they relate to third-Party vendor contracting and operational oversight works with third-Party vendors to define, negotiate and oversee short and long term financial and operational obligations are met ensures third-Party-Vendor vendor managements sops are followed stays current on business/marketplace trends and best practices and applies them effectively develops and keeps current all documentation to support and report on evolving business and operational processes oversees the global vendor management organization (including clinical and ancillary supplies, or cass, or one of the groups within the gvm organization, including managing several dotted line relationships globally manages employee engagement performance leadership to ensure employee satisfaction, career planning, employee retention and global team growth provides leadership for corporate mergers, acquisitions and divestitures as pertains to vendor related activities including but not limited to qualification, contracts and integration into clinical sourcing processes and systems provides leadership for corporate initiatives 20% travel required international and domestic travel maybe required, including air travel & overnight stays ability and willingness to present at internal and external meetings education/experience : university/college degree (preferably postgraduate degree) strong relevant clinical research experience in a pharmaceutical company/cro, including procurement, supply chain, logistics, or third-Party vendor outsourcing track record of demonstrated results in positions of progressively increased responsibility direct experience managing a large team in a global environment, including a record of innovation and success in bringing about change in business processes broad-Based business knowledge and experience in forging strategic relationships externally ability to handle multiple projects of varying complexity and importance simultaneously and autonomously, including working under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines proven ability to lead effectively cross-Functional teams with potentially divergent interests and priorities in order to achieve complex objectives excellent oral and written communications skills self-Starter with ability to think out of the box skilled negotiator with strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities excellent people leadership s kills with a track record of building and developing productive and collaborative teams and leaders leadership
