Sr. Consultant vendor management Responsible for managing cultivating the ongoing relationship with external vendors and internal stakeholders. Measures vendor actual service level performance versus contractual levels. Establishes continuous improvement processes whereby performance translates directly into corrective action plans and resulting improvements. Drives cost savings initiatives and identifies vendor footprint reduction opportunities. Partners with procurement and very business stakeholders in the request for proposal, statement of work and contract phases of engaging a ahoc projects within the function. Serve as the it vendor management subject matter expert (sme).Principle accountabilities:- Establishes and maintains a strong communication channel with vendor organizations to increase efficiencies, reduce costs and strengthen customer service.- Enable strong working relationships with assigned it: functional, operational and develops business acumen.- Ensures vendors deliver on key metrics such as timeliness, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.- Drives on-Going process improvements to deliver increased operational efficiency in all vendor processes.- Compiles, analyzes and reports on vendor performance trends.- Creates, implement and manage process for continuous improvement of sla reporting with vendors.- Create and maintain a centralized professional services repository.- Analyzes supply markets, identifies cost drivers, in collaboration with procurement carry out rfis/rfps and assists with supplier negotiations as well as executing new and vendor renewal agreements- Initiate governance process to minimize escalation to resolve contractual issues.- Responsible for tracking of escalated issues and reporting of root cause :- Procurement, it finance and all it delivery functions.- Vendors categories (including, but not limited to)- Software- Professional services and- requirements /qualifications- Fluent business english- Third part vendor management experience (professional services, software- Professional services, labor and hardware)- Experience dealing with procurement (desirable)- Solid understanding of services customers and marketplace- Communication skills- Financial and analytical experience- Intermediate computer skills- Some contract negotiation experience, vendor selection and escalations- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines on a continuous basis.:- Solid contract creation, negotiation, and management skillsSoft skills requirements- Comfortable dealing with senior management- Strong executive presence, communication, negotiation, planning skills- Strong financial acumen and commercial decision-Making capability- Ability to influence others and build strong working relationships- Organized and able to planExperience / education- A minimum of 5 - 7 years of relevant experience (vendor management or procurement) or equivalent combination of education and work experience- Solid contract creation, negotiation, and management skills- 4-Year degree mba a plus, pmp plus, vendor certifications plus.
