About the role this role is for eicom institute, an education start-Up that is one of vtexs portfolio of educational initiatives that it sponsors as part of its mission to accelerate commerce transformation, with educating the ecosystem being one aspect of its long-Term strategy. As an instructional designer, you will have a highly creative and collaborative role that plays a vital part in our teams ambition to produce outstandingly high standards of professional education in digital commerce. You will work closely with other instructional designers with a diversity of backgrounds and strengths, as well as subject matter experts (smes) to collaboratively design and develop highly informative, engaging and transformational learning experiences for eicoms learners. Your work will shape our b2c as well as b2b educational products which accelerate the professional growth of commerce professionals in large retailers and manufacturers, equipping them with the knowledge to drive digital transformation in their companies. You will work closely with and report to the head of education. About the team you will be part of the eicom team, an institutional initiative in which we enable digital commerce professionals through high-Quality education. We have achieved more than 2000 students in more than 50 countries in less than 2 years. Our team is self-Motivated with clear goals, in which you will have the autonomy to be bold and take your own decisions towards our desired future. The team will be supporting your decisions as advisors and sharing experience and thoughts with you about the critical necessities and directions of the initiative both in the short and in the long term. What you will do as part of your responsibilities you will need to be able to undergoe analysis of client needs to identify the main knowledge gaps and instructional problems that need to be addressed by the courses you will design structure content and perform detailed content analyses, organising information either straight from the mind of an sme or from pre-Existing content formulate clear, specific and practically useful learning objectives using blooms taxonomy (especially task-Mapping) in collaboration with the smes design and develop effective forms of assessment to assess both lower and higher levels of learning specified by your learning objectives develop a variety of learning materials in collaboration with smes such as written material, podcasts, video recordings and virtual live classes depending on the nature of the course and specific learning objectives curate relevant resources from the web into a flow oriented around facilitating the learning of specific learning objectives design and develop detailed educational curriculums for educational products, including dates, topics, learning objectives, assessments and number of hours required per course create learning evidence to demonstrate the learning efficacy through documentation and evaluation of the product delivery consolidate everything into a cohesive learning experience on our lms and collaborate with graphic design team to ensure branding is on point ensuring all learning experiences are created in a way that is scalable and can be reused as an educational product for future clients facilitate conversation and build relationships with key client stakeholders in a b2b contract and be the main point of contact for matters related to the design of the learning experience evaluate the quality of learning experiences you designed through reporting using learner analytics enabled by edtech or gathered manually analyse this data to extract insights that shape the creation of future learning experiences maintain regular close contact with the growth team to make sure educational design strategies are reflected in and align with sales pitches and marketing copy who you are has a minimum of 2 years experience in an instructional design role, a bonus if related to corporate training and l&d experience conducting robust needs assessments using tools like job-Task analysis, performance analysis or task-Mapping thrives within a collaborative team environment producing outcomes together with others a proactive and bold professional who is able to take full ownership of a project, make key decisions as well as execute, instead of needing to be given a to do list of tasks on a plate to just execute has excellent technical writing skills experience with building not only elearning, but also virtual learning through live conferencing tools able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet sometimes extremely tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high quality of output completely comfortable and confident working within an addie model and backwards design framework as part of the course creation process has relevant knowledge of instructional design fundamentals for instance, addie model, latest learning theories in instructional science, educational neuroscience etc. Knowledge of active learning methods framework and application of blooms taxonomy experience engaging with client stakeholders and has excellent relationship building skills fluent in english and have professional proficiency in spanish and/or portuguese is a plus.
