The labor relation manager has the following challenges:lead the collective bargaining agreement negotiations process with recognized employee local negotiation strategies, negotiate, and oversee the administration of local labor guidance and support for regional negotiation appropriate negotiation strategies to develop bargaining goals and negotiate contracts consistent with the companys mission, values, goal and agreements that aim the maintenance of companys competitiveness and allow the adequacy for constants market challenges and production needs, assuring the achievement of current knowledge of employee and labor relations trends, legal decisions, and statutory research necessary to support contract negotiations and employee administration of labor contracts: provide interpretation of labor, provides information, advice and assistance to human resources department managers and staff regarding application of cba, regulations, contracts and employee relations practices relating to their functional areas (payroll, compensation, and others).Assure the hr team are aligned to the labor relations strategies, guaranteeing the necessary training and harmony between capital and labor relations at gm an effective working relationship with management, union representatives, central staffs and others outside the work groupsolve conflicts pertinent to labor relations.
