Theprofessional will lead and develop our team of committed developers, devops,testers and sys admins to deliver our technology roadmap, maintain and support ourdigital commerce platform to our customers and internal staff. Also, extensiveexperience in agile delivery management, resource and capacity management both ofinternal teams and external resources to build skills and capacity, where head of technology will drive the ways of working in our developmentprocesses, improving the quality of our technical solutions and ensuring we candeliver value as early as possible using a range of methodologies. Keyaccountabilitieslead the technology team to continue the planning, development and implementationof the company technology roadmap, including the creation and transition to asustainable architecture, based on best practiceown the planning and prioritising of resources across the technology team toensure an effective balance between our products delivery and ongoing maintenanceand support of our platforms and servicesprovide overall technical leadership and direction to the organisation and thetechnology team, encouraging controlled innovation and improvement in thetechnology and data systems, processes and ways of workingwork collaboratively with the staff (and partners), where relevant, at all levelsacross the organisation to ensure that our digital and technology services andproducts are customer-Led, cost-Effective, scalable, easy to use and meet currentand future needsfurther develop our capability, processes and team structures in managing change,agile software development and rapid deployment and cyber securityensure that a clear vision and delivery plan for our technology and technologydevelopment roadmap is communicated to all staff and that ongoing delivery istransparent and well-Communicated across the group and that all dependencies andrisk are well managedensure teams /squads are well-Balanced and have (or to have access to) the correcttechnical skills to succeeddevelop, resource, maintain and deliver a backlog of development request tosupport the continuous improvement and maintenance of our and communicate the technical release plan of our platformproactively removing impediments to productivity and progress toward continuousdeployment provide overall technical leadership and direction to the organisationand the technology team, encouraging controlled innovation and improvement in thetechnology and data systems, processes and ways of workingthis list is notexhaustive and there may be other activities you are required to and leadership experience in a technology role similar sizedorganisation or business unithands-On experience of agile delivery management with mixed teams of inhouse andexternal developersexperience of successfully building, managing and motivating multidisciplinarytechnical teamsexperience of planning and delivering digital products and services using agiledevelopment techniques to meet customer expectations and deliver cost effectiverobust solutionsexperience of technology operations management and the use of new technologies toimprove cost effectiveness and performanceunderstanding and experience of serverless applications, infrastructure, designand architecture, including hosted applications with awsknowledge and understanding of the digital and data landscape as well as emergingtechnologiesteamwork and good problem-Solving skillsaboutus ascential delivers specialist information, analytics and ecommerce optimisationplatforms to the worlds leading consumer brands and their ecosystems.
