Large multinational company. Job description be part of a dev team developing new functionality and defect resolutions for the legacy track manager software tool, develop new code and modify existing code in the cpp and visual cpp programming languages, develop code that will interact with the oracle relational database and stored procedures in the oracle database, estimate and then run on your software development scope, test your code in conjunction with qa teammates to validate your code meets quality standards, follow wabtec configuration management practices/tools and build processes tools, engage subject matter experts in order to successful transfer of complex domain knowledge, understand performance parameters and ensure your developed code meets performance expectations, proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness, ensure all software updates made have been validated to resolve the issue and does not negatively impact existing functionality, adhere to established software design and code guidelines when developing software. Requirement profile knowledge, skills experiences bachelors degree in computer science or in stem majors (science, technology, engineering and math), software industry experience, experience with cpp programming, experience with microsoft foundation classes is a plus, experience, knowledge troubleshooting of systems with relational databases (oracle), config mgmt. Tools : github/gitlab, build processes and tools (jenkins), self starter with remote working skills to learn new environment, domain, product with minimal time, highly effective and efficient debugging and troubleshooting skills, highly effective communications skills, technical ownership and drive to complete tasks on schedule, seeks to understand problems thoroughly before implementing solutions, identifies opportunities for innovation and offers new ideas, adapts to new environments and changing requirements. Pivots quickly as needed. When coached, responds to need seeks info from other sources.
