About the rolethe strategy and B corp movement department is composed of 6 teams. The purpose of the department is to align these six teams to find synergies to help develop and implement our strategic goals specifically related to the B corp movement and the global network of B lab head of strategy and B corp movement is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the B lab global (blg) and leading coordination of the B corp movement. This role serves as the lead architect, integrator, leader, and change catalyst for scaling the movement globally. The objective is to develop a cohesive team, with these core functions, capable of scaling a global movement. It advises and aligns with the lead executive and the executive team (senior leadership circle or slc) on shared ambitions and the scope of organizational and network transformation. This role also defines the plan, articulates the execution strategy, and identifies the steps needed to deliver movement building head of strategy and B corp movement is adept at identifying talent gaps and crucial skills needed for successful movement scaling. This includes enhancing organizational capacity through training and coaching. Similar to an effective coach, the head of strategy and B corp movement inspires employees to strive for excellence and acknowledges achievements while fostering positivity and confidence within the organization and the network. Reporting directly to the lead executive, this individual holds a pivotal role within B lab globals slc. Core responsibilitiesthe head of strategy and B corp movement has an entrepreneurial mindset and experience in strategy, data analysis, partnerships, and team building across multiple geographies and cultures. Part of this role will be to develop and implement growth strategies with direct impact on the growth of B corps as well as influence strategies in supporting and accelerating growth of policies and partnerships that support the organizations role will oversee data science, analysis, and publications to leverage B labs substantial database of business performance. Another aspect of the role is to oversee B labs monitoring, evaluation, and learning (mel) based on the theory of change and also to oversee the organizational risk register and the risk management program. Supporting and leading with justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion is a core behavior and skill set that is sought for this head of strategy and B corp movement communicates effectively with diverse, global audiences, and works at their best in a collaborative work environment. Skills in marketing, communications, and branding are key to this role as the team that is the face of blg to the world is in this department. They are comfortable managing relationships with a diverse set of global stakeholders and is motivated by the organizations mission. The flexibility to present data to the board of directors one moment and explain the strategy to employees the next is another key skill. The head of strategy and B corp movement leads with yes and strives to create people-Centered systems, processes, and tools that help teams work better with a customer and commercial focus. B lab global supports leadership, empathy, transparency, and belief in others while holding individuals and teams accountable. The head of strategy and B corp movement has the confidence to show vulnerability, own mistakes, and make hard decisions. They effectively manage up, advocates for change, and addresses issues of power and privilege as they arise. Organizational leadership (50%)serve as thought partner with the lead executive in broad organizational strategic planning help lead the organizational transformation as a member of the slc collaborate with senior leadership circle leadership team peers by embracing new ideas and seeking solutions advance B lab globals culture and embrace its three jedi pillars: demonstrating racial equity and justice distributing leadership and shifting power holding each other accountable for our individual and team roles and responsibilities develop strategic and mel literacy across the organization (blg) and the network bring a movement-Building focus internally create a strong external brand backed by a consistent and powerful marketing and communications team build a high-Performance and service-Oriented movement building team liaise with and support global partners as it relates to global movement building guide the organization in the annual strategic planning process business strategy and metrics (35%)develop and oversee the blg scorecard and mel framework provide strategic direction for the insights team further evolve B labs role in global policy and partnerships support the development of concept notes for fundraising for movement building with the head of strategic growth partner with the slc to design and implement multi-Year business plans and strategies that support expanding global operations in a remote-First workplace through policies, practices, technology platforms, and appropriate metrics to measure current and future financial performance prepare and deliver strategy updates to B labs board of directors and key donors financial management (15%)mentor and coach direct reports and proactively support their professional development develop team/subdepartment budgets with department leads actively track and manage spending and forecasting for teams/subdepartments vs. Budgetsabout you10+ years of professional experience 5-7 years of experience leading & mentoring a globally distributed team, with proven success in developing others understanding of how to foster culture and build an inclusive work environment in a values-Driven organization with distributed leadership and decision making strong relationship management skills with the ability to approach internal and external relations through diplomacy track record of growing/scaling/professionalizing a mission-Driven team using data and evidence demonstrable experience in budget management and securing outside capital fluency in metrics development, monitoring, and reporting high level knowledge of strategy and mel frameworks experience in communications, marketing, and brand strategies experience with leading strategy and data analysis teams knowledge of philanthropy and nonprofit blended organizational modelscompensation detailsb lab has a compensation plan that includes: A monthly salary in the range of R$26,250 - R$31,250 per year,not inclusive of the 13th salarysick & other leave in accordance with brazilian statutory leave allowance company provided laptop we also offer other benefits that are based on company policy and are not included in your contract and therefore are subject to change or addition as our organization works to support our staff.
