Tax division overview global corporate tax is responsible to ensure the firms compliance with tax laws and associated reporting obligations of the countries and local jurisdictions in which the firm conducts business. As part of the firms second line of defense, global tax analyzes and supports the activities, operations, reporting obligations, and transactions of the firms business lines to ensure that tax consequences and reputational risks are evaluated appropriately. Consequently, this role requires an energetic, enthusiastic, and driven individual and offers broad exposure to many divisions and groups within the firm, including investment banking, legal, finance, technology, securities trading and operations. Candidate profile we are looking for a senior analyst/junior associate with prior experience in financial institutions, consulting, or law firms. The successful candidate should be prepared to take on responsibilities encompassing advisory matters, coordinating all tax-Related litigation in brazil, and monitoring tax legislation in an assertive, proactive, and efficient manner. Main activities provide legal advice to the business, including partnering with finance, operations, legal, and compliance to approve new products day-To-Day responsibility to track new tax legislation, jurisprudences and developments providing guidance to tax compliance, finance, and operations, among other departments assisting with and reviewing transfer pricing filing requirements and documentation working closely with tax colleagues in europe and the us to ensure consistency of tax policies working together with departments to attend tax audits requirements bachelors degree or above in law, accounting, finance, or equivalent fluent english and portuguese (spanish is a plus) 5+ years of work experience in financial institutions, law firms, or consulting firms (big four), providing advisory to financial institutions strong analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills, with an ability to understand complex workflows proven ability to organize and prioritize workload and drive results excellent communication skills, with an ability to influence senior business stakeholders and make decisions proficient in microsoft office suite or similar proactive and self-Starting individual with high level of ownership flexibility and ability to learn quickly great judgment focus on collaboration and on delivering results capacity to lead projects and coordinate with external advisors.
