We also support reasonable adjustments both within our recruitment process and job design when required to empower you to work in a way that works for you..What are we looking for?Product development and analytical laboratories manager is responsible for running the new r&d labs, including managing analytical scientists and laboratory analytical responsibilities works with scientists from across the avon research and development organization, providing analytical expertise, analysis and validations to support all categories of beauty products from early stages of development to those in market. The role also provides leadership for complex problem solving challenges across r&d, supply chain and product lab responsibilities works across the organization to provide the best operation of labs to support new product development. Considers also the global distribution sampling, finished ingredient standards and shade approval sampling programs for make-Up, and additionally supports r&d leadership and organizational marketing and creative partners in providing finished product samples for internal and external are the main responsibilities:. Responsible for ensuring healthy partnerships by interacting with category leaders, supply chain, manufacturing product safety, regulatory and legal. Manages contracts with equipment vendors and coordinates external contract lab work. Stays connected to external analytical experts to consult for complex problem solving as needed. Mentors, develops and retains analytical group talent. Oversight a broad range of analytical techniques, including gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, infrared red, uv/vis and dsc and some wet chemistry techniques to drive avons r&d pipeline by independently planning and executing analytical work on the group level. Apply creative thinking and problem-Solving skills to develop solutions to avons most complex problems. Audit and approve new test methods meet evolving regulations, validation and business and/or quality control needs.. Partners closely with the overall pd lab site leaders and facilities teams. Provides expert facilities support for all r&d associates. Responsible for overall facilities maintenance, working with a wide range of external service providers needed to effectively and safely run this new r&d facility working with chemical and biological materials. Leads development and implementation of safety policies and procedures related to the daily operations of the r&d facilities. Performs pro-Active inspections of property identifies and corrects findings. Will also assist with preparing the new construction for arrival of associates and internal / external is the person?. Excellent data analysis and communication skills required. Responsible for documentation, accuracy of reports, and results are clearly and concisely communicated to the organization this leader should demonstrate curiosity and a global mindset, adept at working across different cultures and passionate about people and planetwhat you need to have?. Analytical chemistry experience in a cosmetics, pharma or cpg industry and ph.D or ms degree in (preferably analytical) chemistry, chemical engineering or related technical discipline. Experience leading a group of analytical scientists to support global functions across r&d, supply chain and manufacturing. In depth experience and technical knowledge of chromatography (gc and hplc), including new method development and instrument troubleshooting. Thorough knowledge of analytical chemistry techniques to detect and quantitate compounds with a high degree of accuracy and precision. Strong data analysis skills and enforcement of glp requirements. Expert problem-Solving skills and the ability to independently develop creative and scientifically sound solutions.
