Collections specialist/lead Are you passionate about building professional relationships with business partners, solving finance related queries, and collecting money? Can you analyze, interpret, identify root causes, and find solutions to sophisticated problems? Can you work on cross functional teams to standardize our internal collection processes?If so, a role in our operational perfection team could be for you! The collections team forms part of expedia group youll do:- Design processes and targets for your and other areas across the ppo front office different collection teams- Review writes off requests, accounts in the end of the collections strategy, that all efforts are exhausted along with proper documentation. Where accounts are not met, return them, and provide actions missing or documentation lacking- Being able to communicate efficiently with leadership and summarize the situation of an account yet painting the needed picture to receive approval- Hand over accounts to the external collections agency, reviewing proper actions have been taken inhouse prior handing over, as well make sure dca gets all needed information for the account, as well as answer questions from the dca agents- Pull back accounts from debt collections partner after deemed exhausted, wrap these cases, and send them further for write off approvals according to authorization matrix in the otc policy. Follow-Up approval is received timely and answer questions (if any)- Eye for details and process, making sure the ppo (collection) policy is followed and adhered to- Advance process failures to leadership in a clear, yet friendly manner. Making sure proper documentation / data is supporting the findings - And what risks are or can be associated with the blocking issue (the worst-Case scenario - Along with short teredium term actions needed)- Work a cross front office all collection teams, and other ppo teams (central office/back office) and represent operational perfection (strategy) in a good manner and where objectives are not agreed, call out this to your direct manager)- Enjoy providing expertise on sophisticated, cross-Team projects related to system improvement / transition / implementation (e.G., automate ownership change/automate write off or other similar platform initiatives)- Connect with tech staff, translate a finance problem to the tech/product teams and vice versa translate tech issues into understandable finance language for decision making (bridging gap between departments) ensure integrity of the processes (specialist)- Find opportunities, pitch, and sell your idea or business cases with passion win partner support and cross-Function approvals- Be a technical support to senior collectors as well as their point of escalation for issues coming in from the team and internal/external partners, form a knowledge point of view (specialist)- Train and develop key collection teams (collector/senior collector/leadership) where needed, as well as provide knowledge to review/understand and draw conclusions (specialist)- Investigate into the ar aging, and identify potential improvements to our collection approach- Partner with the wider egp to build and review documents, and train other areas of the business, if neededWho you are:- 3-Year validated experience in finance operations, business analysis, analytics and/or project management, in the collections area- Highly motivated, proactive, hardworking, target-Driven individual with strong interpersonal skills- Experienced in analyzing and validating large volumes of data from different systems- Sophisticated digital literacy including ms word, excel, powerpoint- Confident, outspoken and can influence internal and external partners- Proactive, organized individual who can meet deadlines and deliver results- Able to act as a mentor, motivator, and positive doer with our team and with stakeholders towards the completion of a variety of projects- Have strong critical thinking skills able to see the big picture while also diving into the details were vital- Daring, not stuck/tied to previous processes and or management (if any), and comfortable pushing and inspiring change in a friendly, yet direct manner- Curious, open minded, inventive of possible future opportunities (have an eye for spotting improvement opportunities), and able to understand the big picture as well as zoom into the nitty gritty- Able to juggle among a diverse range of projects, test and learns, as well as reporting- Able to react fast to change and blocking issues, flexible and adaptable to different situations- Communicate efficiently regardless of career level (from junior staff to senior director)- Able to work with different businesses and time zonesli-Lm1About expedia group 2021 expedia, inc.
