What we are looking for: the purpose and scope of this position is management of site pre-Delivery inspection (pdi) quality improvement activities that result in measurable and quantifiable improvement within the manufactured and delivered quality of assigned products. This includes using pdi results to provide guidance to site teams and provide a product with correct assembly and adjustment prior to being released for shipment. A farmer first mindset is to be displayed in all activities the incumbent is involved in, focused on finding solutions to problems and enhancements to processes & systems that result in the machine the farmer has purchased meeting or exceeding their expectations for quality and reliability. The incumbent will work with the designated engineering, production and quality teams at the assigned site/s to ensure that global pdi processes and tools are being used to manage the improvements required to consistently provide machines are delivered in a matter that dealer partner and customer expectations are exceeded. Production quality: methods used to ensure quality of assembly during the machine production process result in a machine that meets or exceeds reliability targets (related to production defects) and meets dealership expectations for pre-Delivery condition. Inspection quality: final product conforms to required specifications for assembly, designed functionality and correct adjustment prior to being approved and released for shipment. Quality status of finished goods inventory waiting to be wholesaled to dealers and final retailed to customers, is maintained throughout the delivery process. The incumbent must work in a cooperative relationship with assigned site team members they interface with, finding solutions and working with the site team to contain and implement corrective actions up to and including directly on assembly lines as needed. Additionally, the incumbent will be accountable to process, analyse and quantify cases submitted by our dealer partners, insuring the submitting dealers are acknowledged and made aware of actions taken in as many cases as feasible. What are you going to do: primary responsibilities & accountabilities (not all inclusive) are listed as follows: implement / ensure site compliance and use of the systems, tools, and processes for pdi submittals continuous coaching site teams to improve their performance by analyzing and actioning the acr and pdi feedback received on products shipped to the distribution network. Action submitted pdi and tech connect cases relating to assembly, quality, logistical activities (damages) and disseminate to appropriate site team members. Use tools to identify trending, problem resolution and corrective actions on the assembly line, with support of site manufacturing and quality members. Attend and monitor product problem resolution items. Engage if issue relates to quality of manufacture. Work with customer support (field and back-Office) representatives to improve the acr and pdi process with the distribution network. Work with internally managed assembly centers involved in the receiving assembly and readiness inspections of machines entering a region. Work with external partners involved in the receiving, inspection and readiness of machines debarking or arriving in a port of entry if applicable to assigned site travel to dealer partner locations in both local and export locations to complete pdi processes for effectiveness and drive improvement in both processes and product.
