Position overview: financial reporting manager is responsible for leading and developing the groups statutory reporting/compliance center of excellence. The role contributes to the groups consolidated external reporting and to other finance projects as they arise. This position manages the production of statutory accounts for group entities, liaising with external audit teams, tax, accounting teams and external service providers. Some of the key responsibilites include monitoring and researching us gaap ifrs reporting differences to facilitate preparation of statutory accounts under local gaa and managing operation of the sox controls for compliance and reporting. Key responsibilities include: works to build out the increased centralization of compliance activities, broadening the scope of activities undertaken by the team understanding and implementing reporting regulation changes in the geographies served develops knowledge of retirement benefit, share based payment and other specialist accounting areas to prepare relevant disclosure notes for statutory accounts supports the controllers group through global finance projects as they arise responsible for leading the entity rationalization activities, related to the group reorganization and dissolution of legal entities. Coordination of cross functional teams, active participation in collection of historical data on legal entities, preparation of interim and year-End statutory accounts, keeping track of the entity rationalization ongoing projects serving as a global subject matter expert for provision of impairment assessments to ball legal entities across geographies, by using income (discounted cash flow) or market approaches, for the purposes of meeting the statutory reporting requirements leads compliance monitoring through communication with teams around the group in order to ensure they meet their filing responsibilities broadens finance experience by supporting other functions within the controllers group provides supporting schedules for quarterly and annual footnote disclosures assists, as required, the companys independent accountants in completing requested schedules or analysis necessary for the completion of the audit of the companys consolidated financial statements experience and skills required: graduate degree level education in accounting or work related experience job related experience for 5 years minimum in public accounting, big 4 preferred certifications:cpa or local equivalent comprehensive knowledge ofifrs/local gaap.
