The company is co-Headquartered in san francisco and singapore, with regional offices in london, amsterdam, hong kong, mumbai, bengaluru, and do you come into the picture?We are looking for an experienced director latam banking & partnerships, based out of latin america, who can accelerate our regional expansion into latin role is part of nium&# banking & partnerships team and is responsible for developing and owning the local payment infrastructure in latin america based on our business needs. As a director latam banking & partnerships, you will focus on creating and building partnerships for nium with banks and psps that give nium access to local payment rails for both pay outs and collections, improve our capabilities and reduce our costs. This role reports into the global head of banking.A high impact role, this requires expertise in strategic thinking, leadership, strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills (internal and external). The role owner is expected to gain an exceptional understanding of nium&# line of business, its product offering across multiple verticals and evolving business models & ideal candidate would have a deep understanding of the payment landscape in latin america with a focus on transaction banking and interbank payments: available payment systems per country, the differences between them, an understanding of the relevant payment regulations per country. Demonstrable experience in and/or knowledge of at least a few of our focus countries: argentina, chile, ecuador, peru, mexico, colombia, and brazil, and relations with potential partners would set the candidate apart from other incumbents also applying for the the role holder should have hands-On experience with opening client money bank accounts, understands the fundamental concerns of banks when onboarding msbs, understands the importance of compliance in general, and is familiar with the process and challenges of account is not your typical partnerships role. In some cases, you will work directly with the product team to do so other times you will work with the respective regional coverage in this role, you will work with finance, legal, compliance, risk, product, bd, and engineering teams to locate, develop, and manage payments partnerships to ensure a successful roll out of payment solutions across abreast with market changes, acquire deep understanding of customer needs and bank / psp partner&# requirements, and continuously propose and execute innovative solutions which differentiate nium as the payment consultant, ideally with a deep understanding across multiple payment methods and will own management of these partnerships, and advocate on behalf of nium to engage business and industry leaders to drive improvement in the payment supply chain to ensure nium&# products have the best customer payments experiences and set new global standards in scalability and ideal candidate would have around 8-10 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years in engaging directly with banks for payouts and payins.
