What you will be doing: -Develops and implements standards, procedures and processes for thenetwork operations function. - Projects long-Range requirements fordata networks in conjunction with other managers in the informationsystems function as well as business function managers. - Assignspersonnel to various projects and directs their activities. - Conferswith and advises subordinates on administrative policies/procedures,technical problems, priorities and methods. - Resolves issues andcontributes to the development of the data network function. - Leadsand develops network analysts and other technical personnel to ensurecareer growth and achievement of organizational goals, includinginterim and annual performance reviews. - Manages work efforts ofsupervisors/individual contributors with responsibility for hiring,firing, performance appraisals and pay reviews. - Researches andevaluates new technologies, products and techniques that could meetfuture data network needs. - Defines and negotiates service levelagreements for data network operations. - May involve company-Hosted,web-Enabled solutions or may include project-Based jobs in conjunctionwith professional services and outsourcing functions. - Participatesin disaster recovery/business continuity activities as needed.
