The professionalwill lead and develop our team of committed developers, devops,testers and sys admins to deliver our technology roadmap, maintain andsupport our digital commerce platform to our customers and internalstaff. Also, extensive experience in agile delivery management,resource and capacity management both of internal teams and externalresources to build skills and capacity, where needed. The head oftechnology will drive the ways of working in our developmentprocesses, improving the quality of our technical solutions andensuring we can deliver value as early as possible using a range ofmethodologies. Key accountabilities lead the technology team tocontinue the planning, development and implementation of the companytechnology roadmap, including the creation and transition to asustainable architecture, based on best practice own the planning andprioritising of resources across the technology team to ensure aneffective balance between our products delivery and ongoingmaintenance and support of our platforms and services provide overalltechnical leadership and direction to the organisation and thetechnology team, encouraging controlled innovation and improvement inthe technology and data systems, processes and ways of working workcollaboratively with the staff (and partners), where relevant, at alllevels across the organisation to ensure that our digital andtechnology services and products are customer-Led, cost-Effective,scalable, easy to use and meet current and future needs furtherdevelop our capability, processes and team structures in managingchange, agile software development and rapid deployment and cybersecurity ensure that a clear vision and delivery plan for ourtechnology and technology development roadmap is communicated to allstaff and that ongoing delivery is transparent and well-Communicatedacross the group and that all dependencies and risk are well managedensure teams /squads are well-Balanced and have (or to have access to)the correct technical skills to succeed develop, resource, maintainand deliver a backlog of development request to support the continuousimprovement and maintenance of our platform. Plan and communicate thetechnical release plan of our platform proactively removingimpediments to productivity and progress toward continuous deploymentprovide overall technical leadership and direction to the organisationand the technology team, encouraging controlled innovation andimprovement in the technology and data systems, processes and ways ofworkingthis list is not exhaustive and there may be other activitiesyou are required to deliver. Management and leadership experience in atechnology role similar sized organisation or business unit hands-Onexperience of agile delivery management with mixed teams of inhouseand external developers experience of successfully building, managingand motivating multidisciplinary technical teams experience ofplanning and delivering digital products and services using agiledevelopment techniques to meet customer expectations and deliver costeffective robust solutions experience of technology operationsmanagement and the use of new technologies to improve costeffectiveness and performance understanding and experience ofserverless applications, infrastructure, design and architecture,including hosted applications with aws knowledge and understanding ofthe digital and data landscape as well as emerging technologiesteamwork and good problem-Solving skillsabout us ascential deliversspecialist information, analytics and ecommerce optimisation platformsto the worlds leading consumer brands and their ecosystems.
