Icct seeks a managing director tomanage and lead its brazil office. The ideal candidate is dedicated tothe field of addressing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissionreduction from the transportation sector in brazil, latin america, andglobally. Such an individual must possess the ability to managehigh-Quality staff, the technical background to contribute to policydiscussions, and the interpersonal skills to work across agencies andtechnical institutions. This position is based in são paulo andreports to iccts deputy director in the u.S. The individual will havethe opportunity to access and contribute to cutting-Edge cleantransportation policy research works and get connected with a widerange of stakeholders including policy makers, experts in the fieldand industrial leaders. The icct has established an excellentreputation in brazil with over 10 years of project experiencesupporting national and local regulators. At present, there are 5brazil-Based staff who work on the brazil activities of the icct aswell as a total team of 12 working on latin america activities. Formore information, please visit our website: and our brazil programpage: you will: work under the deputy director of icct and closelywith an existing brazil-Based team as well as the larger latin americateam to develop, implement on a day-To-Day basis, and sustain an icctbrazil and latin america strategy to reduce air pollution andgreenhouse gas emissions from the transport sector in the brazil program including objectives, work plans, budget, staff,and recruitment in close partnership with other program directors andleads monitor policy progress and developments in brazil and latinamerica and suggest regular adjustments to iccts strategy asnecessary. Manage and ensure compliance of all functions of the icctbrazil office in close coordination with icct headquarters and braziladministrative support. These include administrative functions,finance and accounting, and human resources. This is a statutory rolethat must ensure icct brazils compliance as a non-Profit in braziland report regularly to the icct brazil board of directors as requiredby the icct brazil bylaws. Maintain and grow iccts strategicrelationships with key stakeholders including government agencies,research institutes, ngos and academic partners, and industry guideiccts brazil communications and outreach strategy (including internalgovernment outreach and daily external media outreach) to support theiccts vision 2050 ( ) represent the icct in meetings with governmentagencies to fulfill requirements of the international ngos dailyoperations. Lead in preparing and filing reporting documents to theagencies as necessary identify local funding opportunities and supportfundraising activities in brazil. Some travel, including internationaltravel, required. You have: demonstrated in-Depth experience andstrong working relationships with government agencies and researchinstitutions at the national and local levels technical background orexperience relevant to transportation, energy, or environmental issuespreferably 10 years of applicable research experience withdemonstrated project management and staff supervision excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills. Strong leadership skills, ateam player, and high levels of self-Motivation excellent command ofspoken and written english proficiency with spanish is preferredinterest in working in an international environment with ahighlydiverse employee population development/fundraising successpreferred public outreach and media experience preferred willingnessto travel domestically, as well as internationally, from time to timebenefits this is a full-Time (40 hours/week) based in icctssão paulobrazil office located in the vila madalena neighborhood.
