Combining these insights with the latest in digital sensing, data science, and machine learning, we are ushering in the era of predictive agriculture, powering on-Farm decision making for millions of acres, and billions in crop a mechatronics engineer, you will work in our research and development team, focusing on the design, creation, and optimization of robotic and automation equipment for soil collection, processing, and analysis. This role requires strong interdisciplinary skills encompassing mechanical engineering, electronics, software engineering, and systems and develop advanced robotic systems for automated soil collection and analysisoptimize the functionality and efficiency of our current mechatronic systemscollaborate with our scientists and engineers to understand their needs and translate them into functional product designsconduct rigorous testing and validation of all new designs and modificationscreate and maintain technical documentation, including design files, requirements, and manualsstay up-To-Date with the latest technological advancements in robotics and mechatronics, and propose their implementation where relevantensure all designs and modifications comply with applicable industry safety standards and regulationsskills & requirementsbachelors degree in mechatronics engineering, robotics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related fieldmasters degree preferredproven experience in the design, development, and testing of robotic systemsstrong knowledge of cad software for designing mechanical systemsproficient in programming languages such as python, C++, or javafamiliarity with microcontrollers, sensors, and actuatorsexperience designing metals and plastic parts, including an understanding of manufacturing processes and the limitations associated with each materialexperience designing machine electrical systems and selecting sensorsexperience with simulation tools such as matlab/simulinkstrong problem-Solving skills and attention to detailexcellent written and verbal communication skillsability to work effectively and independently in a collaborative team environmentcompensation & benfits$100,000/yr - $120,000/yrcomprehensive health plans (100% employee coverage, 50% dependents)company equityhybrid work environment + remote working options401kmental health stipendunlimited pto, with a corporate standard of at least 3 weeks off per year11 paid holidays + paid sick time offfamily & parental leavethank you for considering pattern ag.
