Rina is currently recruiting for an environment & social sustainability principal consultant to join its office in são paulo, sp within the green energy solutions division. Job description rina consulting is currently seeking an experienced social specialist to work with our environment and social sustainability business unit. The candidate will be part of the team assigned to assess, review and monitor the social aspects of projects promoted by international financial institutions. This position will be part of rinas international team and will be based in são paulo, sp. #li-Jb2 role you will collaborate with rinas interdisciplinary team of consultants and engineers delivering ehss services primarily in the americas. As an experienced consultant, you will deliver environmental, health, safety, and social consultancy services to our clients in the form of compliance with ifc performance standards and regulations review, social risk management evaluations, due diligence services, and sustainability assessments. Additionally, you will develop client relationships and endeavor to provide environmentally and socially sound and sustainable development advisory services. Qualfications and experience ms or ma degree in environmental sciences, sustainability development, international development, sociology and policy. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience related to the development of impact studies environmental, social baselines, involuntary resettlement action plans, stakeholder engagement, indigenous peoples plan, and management systems. Knowledge of environmental, health and safety issues and good international industry practice of the energy / infrastructure sectors. Experience in environmental and social due diligence as well as environmental and social impact assessments for large complex projects. Working experience and knowledge of ifc/iadb/wb/equator principles or other lenders environmental, social, health and safety standards and best practices of the industry and its application in development projects funded by multilateral agencies for the sectors of energy, infrastructure, agriculture and transport. Professional proficiency in spoken and written english and spanish is mandatory working knowledge of portuguese is an asset. Excellent writing skills in english is essential. Availability to travel worldwide on short assignments (one to two weeks per month). Availability to attend the são paulo office, 2x per week, in vila olímpia.
