Job description position: senior avionics engineer reporting to: avionics manager location: são josé dos campos, brazil office boeing brazil is seeking a senior avionics engineer to support the development and certification of transport category airplanes. As a member of the global avionics engineering team, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing and coordinating activities to develop complex electronic systems, analyzing and translating requirements into system, and demonstrating compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements. Position responsibilities: execute and coordinate activities to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements lead and coordinate work to analyze and translate requirements into system, hardware, and software designs and interface specifications execute and coordinate activities to run tests and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements provide inputs for certification plans and authors certification deliverable documents monitor supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements solve problems concerning and provide other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs occasional national and/or international travel required qualifications: basic qualifications: must have existing rights to work in brazil must have a degree in engineering proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the english language must be registered or eligible to register with the engineering and agronomy regional council (conselho regional de engenharia e agronomia - Crea) experience with avionics systems preferred qualifications: previous experience as a technical lead in-Depth experience with arp4754 product development in-Depth experience with arp4761 safety assessment in-Depth experience on supplier qualification (do-160) in-Depth experience with do-178C in-Depth experience with agile methodology the ability and willingness to occasional business travel both domestically and internationally additional information: hybrid/telecommuting position with occasional onsite work at one of the listed location options employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status relocation available for eligible candidates candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in brazil this position is not contingent upon program award this is not a safety sensitive position please also submit a cv or resume written in english.
