Responsibilities manage a team of engineers and provide leadership and guidance to ensure the successful delivery of technical solutions. Set and monitor performance and development goals for team members and provide coaching and mentoring as needed. Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the engineering team. Ensure that resources are allocated appropriately to deliver high-Quality results. Collaborate closely with product teams to ensure the technical success of the product. Support the technical decisions and architecture discussions on scalability, reliability, and maintainability between architects and engineers. Communicate effectively with organizational stakeholders, including executives, product managers, and other engineering teams. Stay up-To-Date with industry trends and best practices, and share knowledge with the engineering team. Implement and maintain a hiring process and leverage your team to be successful hires. Cultivate a learning, mentoring, and feedback culture, running 1x with your team and stakeholders. Encourage and foster autonomy. Take ownership of the success of the development team. Profile bachelors or masters degree in computer science or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least three years of experience managing a team of engineers. Strong leadership and communication skills. Experience with agile development methodologies. Deep understanding of software development processes and tools. Strong technical skills in one or more of the following areas: web development, mobile development, cloud computing, or data engineering. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-Functional teams. Strong problem-Solving and analytical skills. Experience with hiring and developing diverse engineering talents. Experience with performance metrics, such as dora and space. Experience in creating competence level matrix and assessing career ladders.
