This position is in cargills food ingredients and bio-Industrial business, where we anticipate trends around taste, nutrition and safety to innovate and provide solutions to manufacturers, retailers and foodservice companies. Job purpose and impact the product safety, quality and regulatory instrumentation specialist will test, calibrate, install, repair, and inspect product safety and quality monitoring devices for plant production and process equipment. In this role, you will analyze malfunctions of instruments and control systems, and determine the necessary steps that are needed to repair or replace the equipment. Key accountabilities provide training, coaching, and mentoring to new team members. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Provide troubleshooting, diagnostic assessment, repair, and other technical support on product safety and quality analytical instruments and control systems. Perform routine general maintenance and calibrations on equipment, documenting equipment inspection, testing and repair activities in accordance with the quality standard. Investigate and communicate quality related issues including instrument discrepancies, exception reporting and other noncompliance issues. Develop, validate, and implement new methods and analytical solutions to improve product safety and quality measuring capabilities. Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications minimum qualifications bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience minimum of two years of related work experience must be able to be on-Call after hours, weekends, and holidays. Preferred qualifications intermediate computer skills (e.G., microsoft word, outlook, powerpoint, excel). Demonstrated experience with sap and empower chromatography software. Demonstrated troubleshooting experience with lab instruments such as gc, hplc, icp, auto titrators. Strong project management, leadership, social and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle multiple priorities with large long-Term projects. Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of product safety, safety, quality, productivity, and cost. Ability to work expertly and effectively as an individual and in a team environment. Subject matter expert within plant production, laboratory equipment, and repair techniques. #li-Dd1 position information extended work hours may be required during startup of new facility.
