Job title: trade compliance coordinator latin america & caribbean location: preferred: colombia/ other: sao paulo, panama contract: permanent responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following: provide support to the regional trade compliance team in implementing and monitoring actions to mitigate risks associated with importation into lac markets from panama free trade zone hub monitor increased complexity of regional activities, including product innovation, new sourcing strategies and supply chain re-Structuring initiatives support with external and internal customs audits, mitigating diageos reputational, financial and commercial risks including in countries with direct route to consumers work close to global tax team in obtaining and monitoring information for metrics, tax law and query tracker, maintaining governance documentation up to date in accordance to global guidelines, controls, global system impact assessment, ia recordkeeping and others. Tasks to be executed by this role include but are not limited to the following: 1) maintain the standard recordkeeping database adopted for lac, observing the legal requirements and statute of limitation period of each importing market 2) reconcile sap shipped-To-Orders against re-Exported orders and customs cleared orders on the basis of 3pl and sap reports 3) instruct and train 3pl on records (soft and hardcopies) that must be retained and / or are missing on the basis of reconciliation (above) 4) obtain data from customs authorities and / or 3pl for reconciliation and to support impact assessment in case of any non-Compliance issues identified in importing countries 5) collect and review documents and data asked by customs authorities in the course of customs clearance and / or audits in the countries importing from the hub 6) work close to the customer service team on issuance of preferential statements and / or certificate of origins for shipments going through panama hub, ensuring the team complies with the standard operating procedure on fta 7) support the implementation of ways of working between trade compliance and brand innovation with regards to key trade data in sap that requires approval and review by the trade compliance team, including collaboration with tax data governance team on check-Points and health checks of key trade compliance data, ensuring consistency between sap plants (extension of skus from selling entity plant to panama sap plant) and issuance of compliant documentation for importers. Regional: 1) support implementation of projects impacting global trade in lac including but not limited to identification of processes that require review and documentation / procedures which must be implemented / updated (close work and cooperation with regional trade compliance lead and business) 2) support the analysis of source and trade data to develop and deploy trade compliance program, fta reviews and documentation for the subsidiaries 3) decision-Making: ability to read and understand international and local regulations, laws, guidance to provide technical support to the business on day-To-Day operations. 4) work together with the global tax and other teams on topics such as lac sops, gaps resolution, metrics, system implementation..
