Description We are looking for a qualified database engineer to design stable and reliable databases, according to our companys needs. You will be responsible for developing, testing, improving and maintaining new and existing databases to help users retrieve data effectively. As part of our it team, you will work closely with developers to ensure system consistency. You will also collaborate with administrators to provide technical support and identify new requirements. Communication and organization skills are keys for this position, along with a problem-Solution attitude. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our database systems run effectively and securely on a daily basis. Responsibilities: Develop, construct, test and maintain data architectures, such as databases and large-Scale processing systems. Provide recommendations and implement ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality. Make use of performance monitoring tools to issue optimizations and performing tuning tasks, applying data patterns like partitioning, sharding, etc. Ensure architecture will supports the requirements of stakeholders (data scientists and business intelligence teams) and the business in general. Requirements Bs/ms degree in computer science, engineering or a related subject. Proven hands-On experience on postgresql, redis and no-Sql technologies (dynamodb, mongodb, etc). A solid understanding of database engines performance metrics, being able to operate with diverse monitoring tools: pganalyze, vividcortex, aws performance insights, etc. Knowledge in oracle administration Knowledge of java programming language. Knowledge of etl/elt, data pipeline, data lake architectures. Knowledge on amazon web services in special amazon athena/redshift.
