We do technical consulting, programming & quality assurance, devops, applications, ux, product management, and project toad is a fully remote organization with all employees having the option to work from home. The candidate must be able to work between 8 am and 5 pm pacific time (pst) from monday through to fluent proficiency in english is a must for our positions since it is the language we communicate at the descriptionthe qa engineer ensures that we find problems before our clients do. You will work closely with your team members, practicing manual and automated testing, and driving innovation across the organization. As a thought leader in the qa space, you make a true difference in how qa delivers, and have a voice in our transition to ci practices. You thrive on learning, innovating, and participating in the professional community. As a qa engineer, you will ensure high standards of quality and own all qa offerings and services by leading the quality initiatives and ensuring their marketability. You will escalate risks and known issues promptly and frequently, deliver quality releases to our clients, and collaborate with teams to guarantee the success of the with the development team, project managers, and technical consultants to create and implement testing plans, mitigate bugs, and maintain project standardswrite and maintain automated tests for user stories and features throughout a projects life cyclemanual qa of developer workproactively communicate risks and issues as they become known, to both clients and the teamwork independently, and have ownership over testing decisions and resultsadvocate for solutions, and determine bugs severityability to thrive working with agile / scrum methodologiesshares knowledge with the company and community through blogging and/or meetupsensures tests adhere to accepted best practice guidelines, whether code-Specific or framework-Specific expertiseresearches new techniques, technologies, and ideasshares knowledge with the development team, helping them understand testing strategies and general conceptsmakes recommendations and collaborates with colleagues (qa engineers, director of technology) qualificationsrequiredagree with our corporate values in the company mission: to help peoplebelieves in the principles of open source.3+ years of experience with quality assurance2+ years of experience with automated test suites like cypress1+ years of software development experienceability to create and implement testing strategies for a variety of projectsstrong verbal and written communication skillsexperience with full-Stack testingworking knowledge of cliunderstanding of git workflows and practicespreferredexperience working with scrum methodologiesexperience using/creating a continuous integration process.
