Job description energy analyst main responsibilities: preparation of energy studies that guide buying and selling decisions for the energy generation and commercialization segments monitoring project performance and corresponding analyses, identifying opportunities in advance and supporting decisions in accordance with current regulations tracking energy purchase and sale contracts, identifying risks and opportunities in fulfilling contractual obligations analysis of probabilistic scenarios based on energy planning and market analysis to provide quantitative analysis for decision-Making preparation and monitoring of budget projections for asset portfolios and explanation of variances in company P&L monitoring of the plant and contract portfolios, as well as analysis of risk and proposing mitigation operations supporting result management activities associated with energy commercialization strategies, hedge and risk management for power generation and renewables companies preparation of reports and presentations for the board of directors analysis and study of the impact of sectoral changes to support regulatory areas and new business data analysis and creation of reports in power bi requirements: completed higher education in exact sciences, preferably engineering advanced english proficiency advanced excel skills (including vba) advanced knowledge of ccee commercialization rules and legislation related to energy planning in the sector knowledge in creating and analyzing energy balance scenarios and probabilistic variable projections knowledge in programming languages and databases (vba, python, R, sql, etc.) knowledge of market risk management and energy portfolio management certification as market operators is desirable knowledge of risk management tools () advanced power bi knowledge (dax) is desirable knowledge of corporate finance is desirable good interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and effective communication availability to work in person in campinas/sp.
