The position entails the ability to lead all geophysical activities including seismic acquisition, processing, velocity modelling, seismic inversion, quantitative reservoir characterization and machine-Learning workflows. In addition to the geophysical skills, the candidate is expected to have a good geoscience background. The candidate will furthermore be a self-Motivated individual who can work effectively in high-Performance, multidisciplinary team environments, and possess a good understanding of development concepts geo-Steering and well placement. Lead hands-On in project activity as well as actively develop geologic and geophysical objectives as part of field development and evaluation projects. Propose and implement technical solutions that benefit from modern technologies with a focus on improved performance and high-Quality delivery. Propose workflows and supervise seismic processing contracts, performing quality control and regular reporting. Integrate field data from seismic and well data and other sources and build and maintain databases propose and perform 3D seismic inversion and quantitative reservoir characterization from seismic to be integrated in the 3D modelling process. Perform 4D feasibility studies, perform 4D inversion and interpretation of results in conjunction with reservoir engineer. Interpret faults and horizons, providing a consistent structural and stratigraphic model. Generate calibrated 3D velocity models including uncertainty analysis in depth conversion. Interpret the results in consultation with other earth science professionals. Assess the potential quality and distribution of hydrocarbon resources. Collaborate with subsurface, operational and drilling engineers to optimize well placement, geo-Steering and data acquisition produce and present relevant maps and reports plan the location and trajectory of development wells and aid well proposals in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team. Create new opportunities to access remaining reserves. Implement new technologies in geophysical interpretation and reservoir characterization. Advise engineers and senior management on the subsurface uncertainty related to geophysical input data and help mitigate risk and capital exposure during development, appraisal or exploration projects. Be able to represent at jv meetings, and relevant government ministries. Other duties and responsibilities: provides support to other assets of bwe, as needed. Complies with all regulatory, environmental and safety rules and standards, as well as company policy. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Adheres to bwe code of ethics and hold the company core values at heart. Performs other functions/duties as required. Qualification requirementsbachelors or masters degree, or phd in geophysics or related geoscience (G&G) discipline. Experienceideally 10-15 years of relevant experience in G&G interpersonal skills collaborative profile with a can-Do attitude and a strong teamwork spirit. Proactive and able to work without supervision, applying a structured and systematic approach. Excellent communication skills, being able to present results in a concise and clear manner, both in oral and written formats. Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-Paced project environment. Ability to deliver high quality work on time. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary / multinational environment. Good project management skills and organization discipline. Knowledge high productivity with petrel platform. High productivity with a seismic qi package (ex: jason, interwell, rokdoc, hr, etc). Understand the various disciplines in development projects and their interaction. Experience with interpretation on brazil offshore margin is desired. Basic knowledge of anp regulations. Able to communicate in english, both oral and candidate must be able to legally work in brazil. #J-18808-Ljbffr.
