The following position within volvo financial services south america reports to the manager, legal and compliance for vfs brazil and is located in curitiba, brazil intern, legal and compliancethe internship role provides students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment, and to support/promote the graduates career goals through contact with professionals in their field of study. The internship experience enables students toparticipate in professional activities for volvo financial services (vfs) by joining important and innovative projects. Internships are structured learning experiences where interns and our full-Time professionals work together on projects within their selected organization. The internship allows students to integrate knowledge and skills in a manner that is mutually beneficial to the student and volvo financial services (vfs). Key activities:vfs brazil is seeking a law student completing his or her second year to serve as a legal intern in the company’s legal department;this position will primarily be project based and will work with internal counsel responsible for providing legal support on a wide variety of commercial finance matters in the transportation industry;day to day activities will include legal research, writing and interacting with the members of the legal department aswell as the opportunity to work with various business team members;among the main tasks that the intern will participate includes: drafting contracts for the provision of services, company secretary matters, proxies and powers of attorney, responses to judicial requests and follow up of bills that concern financial services;interface and interaction with panel law firms is also another interesting activity that the intern will perform. Education and skills required:currently enrolled in law school;demonstrated strong legal writing skills;ability to prioritize work effectively and multi-Tasking in a fast-Paced environment;skills for working with attention to detail and in a proactive way;have proven interpersonal communication skills;easy to work with multidisciplinary matters;interested in understanding the corporate environment and to interact with all the levels in the organization;desire to learn how to apply legal concepts in the business environment in order to generate new business, helping the organization to achieve its goals;demonstrated pc skills (ms office) essential, specially powerpoint;fully proficient in reading, writing and speaking english, additional language a plus.
