Operational responsibility includes overall strategic planning, day to day operations, marketing, customer service, quality programs and outcomes reporting, finances, incentive management, and business growth for network operations. The director understands the importance of their department to the hospital and facilitates a successful relationship in terms of clinical and quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and management of expenses/and responsibilities: oversees the daily operations of all respective practices. Oversees an operational team that assists with the delivery of operational initiatives. Focuses on improving the patient experience within given business lines. Executes on strategy developed with physician, director and/or sr. Director leadership creates operational efficiencies with given business lines. Maintain/develop a cost efficient, growth orientated, and functionally aligned organizational structure. Focus on patient acquisition and care delivery, inclusive of care delivery of providers and programs. Facilitates the development of services through coordination, growth, strategic planning and marketing initiatives with appropriate entities. Cultivates, coordinates, coaches and supports operations and the leadership teams in collaboration with physician leadership. Partners with physician leadership to maintain and build new internal and external physician relationships. Responsible for the day to day oversight of designated departments. Manage all aspects of assigned st. Lukes physician group entities. Responsible for personnel administration including recruitment, payroll oversight and approval, grievance resolution and evaluations in conjunction with human resources. As appropriate, seeks input from physicians and staff. Meet regularly with office staff and physicians regarding office operations. Integrate newly acquired practices into the network. Develop staff to maintain office operations independently, with minimal supervision. Assist in design of new offices. Coordinate purchasing through purchasing system of st. Lukes hospital. Investigate and improve system to resolve conflicts with purchasing. Within guidelines established, approve invoices and major purchases: purchase furnishings and medical equipment for offices. Coordinate participation with insurances accepted by st. Lukes physician group, manage billing process to optimize reimbursement responsible for facility management of all owned facilities. Act as liaison with landlord for leased facilities. Work with physicians as necessary in scheduling practice hours for efficient office operation. Participate in development of annual budgets for st. Lukes physician group offices. In conjunction with st. Lukes physician group administration, physicians and staff develop and implement short and long range goals and marketing strategies for practices and st. Lukes physician group. Review financial reports monthly. Develop work plans as appropriate to meet budgetary goals and meet regularly with physicians to review budgets and compensation. Carry out the above responsibilities in such a way so as to promote a positive, supportive and creative culture within st. Lukes physician group and st. Lukes university health and sensory requirements:standing and walking six hours per day, up to two hours sitting at a time. Frequently uses fingers for typing, data entry, etc. Frequently uses hands. Occasionally uses upper extremities to lift up to 20 pounds, sometimes heavier. Very often stoops, bends and reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision and visual : bachelors in healthcare or business administration or related field is required. Masters in business or healthcare administration and experience:three years of practice management experience or in a leadership role in large practice required. Experience with medical office procedures and management, knowledge of medical terminology and medications frequently prescribed by physicians, electronic health records, and medical practice billing possess ability to prioritize tasks and organize workload. Must be flexible and be able to adapt to a constantly changing environment. Must have ability to follow through on projects with minimal supervision, hold staff and providers accountable to their job responsibilities and to the network mission and values, make independent decisions and use good judgment. Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
