Proactively follow and promote our code of conduct both internally and externally, continuously, and consistently demonstrating alignment with our values. Develop and advocate for public polices aiming for a deforestation-And-Conversion free commodity supply chain, regenerative agriculture, low carbon agriculture, ilpf (forest, agriculture, and ranching integration), and other conservation strategies in the agriculture sector. Constantly interact with public agents exchanging information and supporting decision making with scientific-Based and accurate data. Monitor government initiatives, public policys, public financing mechanism for agriculture and climate mitigation, as well as law propositions in the national congress and in the federal executive, including but not limited to the ministry of agriculture, ministry of environment and ministry of external relations, ministry of science and technology, ministry of the economy and central bank including, trade and investment facilitation agreements, new international regulations, especially but not limited to the european union, china, the united states and the united kingdom as well as public agencies. Foster, build relationships and interact with international organizations and the foreign diplomatic delegations o issues and opportunities around the climate and conservation agenda. Understand and translate through the organization new laws and normative acts related to conservation agenda supporting technical team and project leaders. Map, influence, and aggregate stakeholders for a positive agenda related to objectives of tnc in the national level. Work in close alignment with the policy specialists of state level in the brazilian iconic places, with global teams, private sector relation teams as well as conservation and science staff in tnc. Develop presentations and position papers in coordination with technical staff to support tnc strategy with public stakeholders. Provide information and discuss influence strategy with peers and leaders of projects. Coordinate meetings and working groups establishing the cooperation between actors and influencing decisions. Maintains regular contact with local, sub-National, country and multilateral officials, and/or corporate representatives on matters pertaining to administrative, legislative, and/or corporate actions, and internationally negotiated agreements related to agriculture agenda coordinates multiple activities with several variables, establishing and achieving deadlines, managing the time properly and delivering quality results interprets law proposals, public policies, guidelines, evaluates information, and contribute to influence, adapt/change circumstances coordinates multiple activities with several variables, establishing and achieving deadlines, managing the time properly and delivering quality results interprets law proposals, public policies, guidelines, evaluates information, and contribute to influence, adapt/change circumstances bachelors degree in economics, international relations, science policy, environment, land use disciplines or another related field of study and related work experience in conservation combined. Fluency in english and portuguese. Experience presenting to and/or communicating with business, government, or legislative staff and/or program leadership, especially in environmental and agricultural policies. Experience in designing, implementing, and directing multiple complex projects and ensuring program accountability. Communications experience including preparing and presenting project proposals and developing written communications. Experience working with corporate or ngo partners, and government agencies. Knowledge on the legislative process as well as on the elaboration, approval, and implementation of public policies within the federal executive desired qualifications: multi-Lingual skills and multi-Cultural experience appreciated. Masters degree appreciated and/or postgraduate studies in public policy and government relations, especially in environmental and agricultural policies. Experience in government positions or government relations consulting companies, especially in agricultural policies. Supervisory experience, including ability to set objectives and manage performance (if required). Familiarity with agriculture, social-Economic, and political issues, agricultural trade policy, and international trade agreements, especially those that affect the environment and agriculture agendas experience coordinating projects in a decentralized organization, working across teams, operating units, and functions to achieve optimal results. Outstanding written and oral communication, negotiating and organizational skills. Desirable work experience on the legislative process as well as on the elaboration, approval, and implementation of public policies within the federal executive.
